English common names: Chalkhill blue and Damon blue
The black mass on the ground that the butterflies are feeding on are the remains of Rana temporaria tadpoles which were not lucky enough to finish metamorphosis before the puddle dried up.
The specimen with the white line on its lower wing is a Damon blue, all the others are chalkhill blue.
